Although the Australian actor only completed half of his work for the movie before he died by an accidental drug overdose, he was a prominent part of the 90-second teaser.In the fantasy film, about a traveling theater company, Ledger portrayed a mysterious outsider named Tony who promises to take the show beyond anyone's imaginations.
"Heath was enjoying himself so much, and he was ad-libbing a lot, which I don't normally allow ... but Heath was just brilliant at it, and he got everybody else going," director Terry Gilliam said in May. "Everybody was just energized by Heath. He was extraordinary. He was almost exhausting because he had so much energy."
